Landscape Building of Crown Conference Centre, Southbank, Melbourne by Batessmart. The Crown Conference Centre provides an important companion facility to the existing Crown Promenade Hotel and its conference facilities. Intended to work seamlessly together the new building has been conceived as an extension to the Hotel, both functionally and aesthetically. The architectural expression of the Conference Centre has utilised elements from the architectural language of the Crown Promenade Hotel to create an expression that while very much part of the existing Hotel, also responds to the particular condition of its site and programme.
