Landscape Building of Willie Mays Boys and Girls Club at Hunters Point San Francisco, CA by MWA Architects. MWA provided interior architecture services to update an existing neighborhood recreation center to fit the needs of a Boys and Girls Club program.

The 23,000 square foot Club offers a gymnasium with locker room, a multipurpose room with a stage, administrative offices, an art room (with adjacent kiln room for ceramic baking), technology room, library/study room, and a kitchen for the cooking program.

MWA enhanced the building’s façade to be more noticeable and welcoming and created a child-friendly landscape in front of the building.

We also enclosed an existing breezeway to connect the two buildings, protect against the natural elements and provide safety from street activities.
