Developed out of a master plan to incorporate additional site area, traffic on North Street is intended to be calmed creating a tertiary education precinct in the heart of the city. Inspired by contemporary pedagogy the planning accommodates a variety of collaborative learning settings combined with café and administrative functions.

A scientific aesthetic with sunshade elements link the design to the major fruit growing economic activity in the region are also inspired by DNA diagrams.

Seamless inside/outside connections and dynamic finishes and materials blending provide outdoor learning courts and landscaped areas. The façade is strategically setback on the west facade to create micro climate nooks providing outdoor café zones and inviting entry points to the building.
