Military skills training is currently provided in 30 sites across the country, the programme will consolidate the majority of training in St. Athans, with some courses taught remotely through a virtual learning hub.

High in the criteria of the winning bid was the creation of a holistically sustainable development, and a large body of work was done by the entire design team at bid stage to ensure that the development, while significant in its built form, had a very small carbon footprint. This sustainability agenda is one of the key drivers as the design moves forward into the development stage.

With a construction value of £650 million, a College campus is currently progressing through design stages with construction on programme to commence in 2010 and the College commencing operations in 2014. Capita Architecture is one of the two architectural design practices working on the project and we are designing all the training and establishment support accommodation.
