Building Design of Linx at Humber Institute by Bortolotto Architects. Formerly an industrial student workshop, the challenge was to covert the expansive decrepit space compressed by a hovering low ceiling into a vibrant, multi-use student space programmed for a variety of functions and activities.

The design of an enclosure for a new exterior patio is used to create a welcoming entrance by softening the corner of the old masonry building by creating a curved wood fence element that veers the patrons toward the main entrance.
