Architecture Design of BAE Systems New HQ British Aerospace Systems by Capita Architecture. Capita Architecture are part of a multidisciplinary team with BAE Systems’ manufacturing and aerospace facility at Samlesbury in Lancashire to develop a science park in support of primary BAE functions.
Completed so far are two major new four-storey office buildings, which have achieved a minimum BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’, along with the spectacular new reception building, which is based on the design of a Fighter Jet. The office buildings are the first of four ‘pavilion’ buildings envisaged in the brief. The buildings are all generally equal in size, shape and capacity and have been developed to allow flexibility in use and subsequent future proofing of each functional tier.
